Uber ‘Naughty or nice’ booth rewards riders with good ratings

Uber is leaning into the festive season with a fully interactive ‘Naughty or nice’ booth, designed to reward customers who have top ratings on the car ride app.

Based in Waterloo station, the booth will be open between 15 and 17 December and invites commuters to share their rating. Those with a rider rating of more than 4.83 get a green Christmas bauble to use for their ride home.

Those who are on the naughty list won’t quite receive coal, but will receive a red bauble highlighting their less-than-average rating.

The stunt, spearheaded by Mother agency, follows on from Uber’s recent addition of train rides into its offering, with a widespread campaign featuring the message “Trains, now on Uber.”

The move towards door-to-door travelling by the brand, which says it carries out a large number of rides to train stations, and felt the move towards including train rides within its offering made sense.
